PROPOSITION 310 FAILED

 Fire Chief Tim Bonnee, at the November Fire Board meeting, expressed disappointment over the failure of Proposition 310, but said he and his crews will be moving forward as usual.    Thankfully, even though polls showed a 95% positive response to passage of Prop 310, and although Chief Bonnee had all kinds of plans for moving forward with funding of full time crews in Meadview and replacement of aging equipment, he and the Board didn’t start spending $$ before they were in the bank! That is exactly what tanked the LMRFD in 2013. The LMRFD is blessed to have a Chief and Board who listen to the Accountant! They continue to move forward providing the best service they can with what they have to work with.  

Thank you to all who recognized the importance of the Arizona Fire District Sales Tax Initiative and signed the petition!  Now we need to get the votes to pass it!  For the LMRFD it could mean fully staffing the station in Meadview for fire response and ambulance transport.
